Magazine Shoot

Recently I was hired as the in-house photographer for a new local magazine Tru Life Magazine! One of my first assignments for this awesome magazine was to shoot Dylan and Kyra Moscovitch for the cover and cover story for the next issue due out in about a month. I had the pleasure of photographing them at practice as well as in my studio for portraits. They are our Champions for the Senior Pair Skating Division for Team Canada! We had so much fun especially when Dylan decided to liven everyone up with some creative posing!!!!!

These are some of the photographs taken. There were so many that it was hard to choose and I do not know which ones will be chosen but I had to post some of my favorites.

The Adams Family

I had so much fun! I met this wonderful family on their property south of Cambridge and spent a couple of hours laughing and taking photos. This great family with seven children (yes seven!!!!!!) made me feel so at home and welcome it was hard to say "good-bye" at the end of the shoot. If I didn't have to get back to Kitchenerfor another appointment, maybe I would have followed them to dinner! *grin* Along with their seven children, I had the priviledge of photographing grandma and great grand ma. Four generations of family! Wow!

More fun to be had at the studio with Shae-Lynn. We spent the afternoon shooting inside the studio and played in thr alleys and areas around the building.

Once again I had the privledge to share in a very exciting part of a couples' life. The excitement and joy of expecting their first child. He's due to arrive in June. I sincerely hope to have the honour of being a part of his photo debut!

Kyla & Gunter - Engagement Photos - 4 May 2008

I met Kyla and Gunter at the studio and then we drove to Cambridge to shoot their photos. We started at Galt Collegiate and then moved to downtown. It was a beautiful day with perfect lighting. We had so much fun and couldn't stop laughing. Gunter has the "blue steel look" mastered! LOL! Can't wait to photograph their wedding on 28 June 2008.

Erin & Mark - Engagements - 2 May 2008

Mark and Erin drove in from Georgetown to have their enegagements done on a rainy Friday afternoon. We spent a few hours in the studio and in the warehouse playing with different lighting and having lots of fun. They brought their new puppy, Sprocket, along for the ride. We had to be sure that and he had his photo debut.

New Studio Location

Stone Photography is moving to a new location! Wow! It was only a year ago we moved! Why again!!!!!! Well, as most of you know who live in Kitchener, The Lang Tannin Building (the location of my current studio) sold last August. The new owners have been making many changes and due to the present changes as well as the plans for the future of the building, we decided that it was in our best interest as well as the interest of our clients to find a more suitable location. We found my dream studio!!!! We will be taking a temporary location for a few months while building and renovating the PERFECT space on Victoria Street in downtown Kitchener. Both the temporary and new studio will be located in the same building so once we have moved on June 1, you will not have to look for us again in the fall! We are planning a great Open House Party in the late fall to show off our new place and celebrate our 10th Year in business!!!!! Check back for more updates on the party and see you all in the fall!!!!!!

Me and Max

Okay, I've had a couple of emails from people saying that the photo on my profile was too small for them to see, so here you are. I don't have my photo taken often so remember those! LOL! I like being on the other side of the camera!

These are two of my favs that were taken of me by Tanya of ShadowBox Studios. We spent the afternoon last week having our make-up done and doing promo photos. Max, my 9 month old puppy supervised the afternoon event so I had to include him in a rare "photo opp" with me!

Tanya and I have started working together on a fairly regular basis in the past few months. She is working on a new website and needed new photos. We spent the afternoon doing make-up for her photos and mine and then took one another's photos. This was one of my favorites that I took of her.

The photo in my profile on this page is one of the favorites that she took of me. (Yes, I actually stood still long enough to have my much needed photo taken! LOL!)

Jessica - Newest Member of the Stone Photography Team

This past week we spent some time in the studio photographying the staff at Stone Photography. We started with the newest member, Jessica. Jessica is our in-house wedding and events co-coordinator.
